The EIS is committed to the promotion of sound learning and now, as part of that commitment, we have around 50 multi-establishment based LRs (formerly known as authority based LRs). The title was changed to reflect that we now have FE members who have successfully undertaken the appropriate LR course.

The Role of Multi - Establishment Learning Representatives

Duties include:

Learning about CPD/Lifelong Learning opportunities from a variety of providers including employers and universities;

Informing, advising and supporting teachers/lecturers in accessing quality CPD/Lifelong Learning;

Supporting teachers/lecturers in accessing additional sources of advice and guidance;

Encouraging the introduction of quality programmes of CPD/Lifelong Learning for teachers and lecturers.
