The first school based LRs were accredited in June 2005. It is the aim of the EIS to have an LR in every school. School LRs complement the multi-establishment LRs who have already been appointed.

Role of School LRs:

The duties of LRs include:

Informing, advising and supporting teachers in accessing quality CPD;

Supporting teachers in accessing additional sources of advice and guidance;

Working with LRs appointed at multi-establishment level.
