EIS Learning Representatives

The first school based LRs were accredited in June 2005. It is the aim of the EIS to have an LR in every school. School LRs complement the multi-establishment LRs who have already been appointed.

Role of School LRs:

The main role of the Learning Representative is to inform, advise and support colleagues who are undertaking, or considering undertaking, CPD.

There is an Induction Day prior to each section of the course and a mentor is allocated to each student to assist and support them throughout the second part of the course.  A mentor is a current accredited LR with substantial experience in the field.
