The aim of the EIS is to have an LR in every further education college. We already have a number of LRs who trained through a joint STUC/Scottish Union Learning Fund project. In addition we have a number of FE LRs who have trained to become multi-establishment LRs, who will be able to work across a number of establishments in their area.

Role of Further Education LRs

The main role of FE LRs is to inform, advise and support colleagues wishing to become involved in lifelong learning. The CPD agenda in FE will focus around four main areas: diversity (gender, anti-racist policies, disability), first line management, ICT and 14-16 (including school/further education college collaboration).
